About Alma Agape Eligibility.
At Alma Agape, we extend our support to writers and artists whose works do more than simply entertain — they illuminate. We seek creations that question, console, and awaken; works that gently probe what it means to live, to feel, and to remain human in an ever-changing world.
We do not fund ordinary fiction written for diversion alone. Instead, we stand beside those who craft stories, poetry, or art imbued with a deeper truth — works that hold lessons about life, time, or the shared soul of humanity. Should your piece appear fictional yet carry a deep enduring message within each page, you are warmly invited to submit. We ask only that you share with us the message you wish your work to leave behind.

All applications must be submitted online using the link below.You must include all required information, materials, and supporting documents as detailed in Step 2.
We offer two application cycles each year: one in summer and one in winter. However, you are welcome to apply at any time while the application form remains open.

To ensure your application receives full consideration, please gather and prepare all the following materials. This allows us to understand and trust your creative journey from the outset:
Personal Information: Please provide your full name, creative name (if applicable), gender, date of birth, contact details, country of citizenship, website URL (if any), and how you discovered Alma Agape. Simply complete these details in the application form.
Curriculum Vitae (CV)/Resume: Include your skills, languages spoken, education, and professional history. Feel free to tailor this to highlight relevant creative achievements.
Alma Agape Membership Number: We encourage every applicant to experience Alma Agape as a member before applying to the Foundation. Your membership number enables us to review your submitted letters and, beyond potential grants, may qualify you for exclusive special prizes.
Awards and Recognitions (Optional but Recommended): Please list any honors, prizes, exhibitions, or platforms where your work has been showcased.
Portfolio:
A 1 to 3-minute video introduction—our preferred way to meet the person behind the work. Be authentic; simply share who you are and what inspires you.
A selection of 10 to 15 pages of your work to give us a clear glimpse of your creative vision.
A brief letter explaining the significance of your work or project: what inspired you, the deeper message behind it, and what you hope your audience will take away.
For artists, please also include 5 to 10 artworks accompanied by short descriptions.
Budget Plan: A detailed outline explaining how you intend to allocate the grant funds.
Letter of Reference (Optional but Encouraged): A recommendation from a teacher, mentor, or fellow artist familiar with your work who can speak to your talent and dedication.

The review process typically takes between 2 to 8 weeks. Should your application be declined, you will receive a thoughtful explanation outlining the reasons.
Upon approval, you will be invited to a formal meeting—either online or in person—where the agreement will be signed and your grant awarded. At this moment, you will officially join the distinguished circle of Alma Agape’s Foundation members.

How do I know if my work is eligible to apply?
The simplest way to know is to take the first step and submit your work. By doing so, you place yourself ahead of those who never try — and for us, your effort matters deeply. Even if your piece is not selected for a grant, we may be able to offer other pathways or opportunities within Alma Agape. We always believe it is worth trying.
How much is the grant?
The Alma Agape Foundation awards grants based on the merit and uniqueness of each work. At present, each approved applicant may receive up to $30,000 USD. This ensures that we can fully honor and support exceptional creatives whose work aligns with our vision. As our community grows, we hope to welcome artists and writers from an even broader range of disciplines and backgrounds.
How many grants are awarded each year?
We do not limit ourselves to a fixed number of grants annually. Instead, we thoughtfully consider each submission and award as many grants as our Foundation’s capacity allows — always with great care.
Please note: we reserve this honor for truly remarkable writing and art — pieces that hold the power to shift perspectives and teach enduring lessons about life, time, and the human spirit. Successful recipients will also receive a certificate and letter of reference, marking their place among Alma Agape’s cherished circle of storytellers.
Does the Foundation award grants globally?
Indeed. Alma Agape holds no borders in matters of talent. We believe that creativity knows neither age, nationality, nor citizenship. We welcome those rare souls born with a gift — for as Oscar Wilde so beautifully put it, “To define is to limit.” We have no wish to limit the boundless potential of the human spirit.
May I use the grant to support my daily life while I complete my work?
Indeed. We understand that some writers and artists wish to devote themselves entirely to their craft, and may therefore use part — or all — of the grant to sustain their daily living expenses throughout the creative process.
However, we ask each applicant to submit a budget with sincerity and transparency, outlining how the funds will be used and how you intend to structure your days. We value integrity deeply, and wish to see your vision come to life within the agreed twelve-month timeline.
Is the grant the only support Alma Agape’s Foundation offers?
While the grant is our principal means of support, we believe true patronage extends far beyond funding alone. During your twelve-month journey, we stand beside you — offering guidance, assistance with publication, and letters of recommendation where appropriate.
Once you become part of the Alma Agape family, we hope to see your work flourish — and we do ask for regular updates on your progress, whether monthly or more frequently for those creating full-time. In this way, the Foundation remains a rare and nurturing sanctuary for creatives whose work may one day remind humanity of its own soul.
